USN BODY MAKEOVER - CELEBRITY EDITION
Thu, 27 September 2012
Every year thousands tackle the USN 12-week Body Makeover Challenge and only the most disciplined and determined manage to see the whole three-months through without faltering. It’s not easy, but it’s so worth it! Nobody ever regrets being healthier, leaner, more toned and fit and that’s why more celebrities have taken on the challenge through Expresso TV show. Here are four of our next batch of celebs going all out to look their best.

JOSIE EVELEIGH
2oceansvibe radio presenter
Starting weight: 57.6kg
Starting body fat %: 26.8%

Doing the 12-week Body Makeover as a celebrity on a TV show obviously means massive pressure. Are you motivated by fear of failure or are you genuinely inspired to tackle this challenge publicly?
I am genuinely motivated to complete this challenge publicly. I'm a far way from my dream 'beach bod' and I think that being able to share this challenge with the Expresso viewers and USN followers – although it adds to the pressure of needing to succeed in the end – also has huge benefits. With the public nature of my challenge I find people encouraging me constantly. It also allows me to share this life-changing experience and hopefully motivate a few people along the way to achieve their best body too. Having said all this though, getting into my bikini on national television was probably the bravest thing I've ever done!

What do you think will be the toughest part of the challenge?
The toughest part of the challenge for me will be not 'cheating' when it comes to summer time when I find myself at events/restaurants surrounded by people eating and drinking things that are not on my eating plan. Difficult but do-able.

Which is your favourite USN supplement so far?
Diet Fuel UltraLean shake – it's perfect as a convenient, nutritionally balanced snack for busy days. It's also filling and it comes in CHOCOLATE!

MAL JAN
Member of the Jacaranda 94.2 fm morning show team
Starting weight: 100.6kg
Starting body fat %: 16.7%

Doing the 12-week Body Makeover as a celebrity on a TV show obviously means massive pressure. Are you motivated by fear of failure or are you genuinely inspired to tackle this challenge publicly?
I don’t see myself as a celebrity but as a normal person. The pressure to succeed in the challenge is the same for me as it is for everyone else doing the challenge! At the end of the day it doesn’t  matter if you are in front of cameras or not, it’s what you do at home that will determine if you succeed or not!

What do you think will be the toughest part of the challenge?
The toughest part of the challenge will be to adopt a new lifestyle, learning from beginning to end how to live a healthier lifestyle and to sustain that lifestyle.

Which is your favourite USN supplement so far?
It’s still a bit early for me to say exactly which supplement is my favourite but at the moment it’s the Protein Delite bar!

AROD
Stunt guy of Jacaranda 94.2 fm
Starting weight: 89.6kg
Starting body fat %: 14.5%

Doing the 12-week Body Makeover as a celebrity on a TV show obviously means massive pressure. Are you motivated by fear of failure or are you genuinely inspired to tackle this challenge publicly?
I’m genuinely excited to do it for myself... I've heard there is prize money... I really don’t care about that, I just want to change my life around and to LOOK GREAT!!! I can’t wait and I know that it isn’t going to be easy, but bring it BABY!

What do you think will be the toughest part of the challenge?
The first week... getting used to eating healthy again... NOT EASY!

Which is your favourite USN supplement so far?
Glutamine, and I've actually had great results with Creatine X4 in the past... it really pushes my strength up VERY QUICKLY... that’s what Creatine does to me!! LOVE IT!

LEIGH-ANNE WILLIAMS
SABC 3 eXpresso show presenter
Starting weight: 75.4kg
Starting body fat %: 28.9%

Doing the 12-week Body Makeover as a celebrity on a TV show obviously means massive pressure. Are you motivated by fear of failure or are you genuinely inspired to tackle this challenge publicly? Explain.
I love doing this challenge on such a public platform because it keeps me accountable. Failure is not an option when it comes to a challenge of this nature, especially once you've involved the entire country.  So I'm inspired to succeed and do well! I'd like to win, but just getting past my own issues with weight and reaching my goals is what I look forward to the most.

What do you think will the toughest part of the challenge and why?
My biggest challenge I think, will be the nutrition aspect of the challenge. My job is incredibly demanding and we're constantly flying about, so finding time to make the meals that I need to eat will be the biggest challenge.

Which is your favourite USN supplement and why?
I'm a CLA and the Protein IGF-1 girl.
