Sport / Discipline: Bodybuilding
The BeginningI began bodybuilding at the age of 18. At first I just wanted something positive to occupy my mind as a lot of my friends at the time were into negative activities which I had no interest in getting involved with. Two years later I entered my first competition as a junior and won. After that I went to university to concentrate on getting an education and a Degree in nutrition.
Current split Now I’m older I listen to my body a lot more. I have no current split, If I feel sore in a certain body part I may give it two weeks rest and at the other end of the spectrum I may train a body part as much as three times in a week. I am trying to get in touch with my body and give it what it needs.
Best body part I don’t strive to have a best body part I want to have a complete physique that when looked at on the whole is inspiring and realistic for the younger bodybuilders to achieve but also appreciated and competitive in the IFBB. I don’t want to be a freak!!
Worst body part My big Toes, Ha!! A former girlfriend used to call me "Hammer Toes" and unfortunately now my son has them too!!
Best exercise I love to train everything and being creative. I like to invent exercises all the time as I think it’s refreshing for the mind and helps stimulate muscle fibres from different angles. I don’t believe in one way of training and always keep an open mind in everything I do.
Training partners I don’t limit myself to training with one person I will train with a complete beginner to advanced bodybuilders or on my own so long as I see them put 100% effort in that inspires me but my motivation comes from within my mind not somebody screaming at me.
To create a physique that I can honestly say is classical, asthetic and competitive and not to look like some of the monsters competing nowadays. Bodybuilding is displaying the perfect physique not how big you can be. Although I respect everyone's goals with regards to their apppearance I personally feel we need to step back and lokk at the direction the sport is going.
